Thank you for visiting my portfolio. My name is Meilin Zhang, and I’m a graduate of Conestoga College’s highly regarded Carpentry and Renovation Technician program.

 

When I tell people that I’m studying carpentry and working in the renovation industry, many are surprised. Some even assume I’m doing cleaning work when they see me on site. But for me, carpentry isn’t about proving anyone wrong or trying to impress others — it’s about doing something I truly love.

 

Working with my hands, learning the craft, and creating something tangible gives me a deep sense of purpose. Every project I take on teaches me something new — about materials, precision, and patience.

 

To me, carpentry is more than just a trade. It’s a way to build, grow, and express myself through craftsmanship.
